EDUCATION
Mr Barclay has an undergraduate degree in Business Studies from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a UK Securities Industry diploma.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Prior to Advent International Bruce Barclay worked in investment banking and Corporate Finance: Hill Samuel Corporate Finance (former Parent company of Macquarie) , and KPMG Corporate Finance (specialising in Private Equity transactions), and in industry in computers (NCR Computers, including coding and programming) and in a leading venture capital backed hi tech startup in state of the art robotics, machine vision systems and artificial intelligence, where his work was also published in a range of publications.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Mr Barclay holds a Private Pilots Licence with flying experience in the USA, Europe and Australasia, and has >20 hours flying aerobatic aircraft (YAK-52; Citabria; Extra EA-200, Aerobat, Pitts Special, Jet Provost); Scuba Diving Qualification; Parachuting and hang-gliding experience; sailing experience - Cats and monohulls; motorcycle racing experience; rock climbing- including Via Ferratas; and is a keen alpine skier and ski tourer and alpine hiker.
